Label Expansion & Market Access Strategy
Identifying new indications, populations, and positioning that multiply an asset's addressable market.
Alternative Paths to Regulatory Approval
Clearer, faster routes to approval — pathway re-assessment, designation strategy, and creative regulatory positioning.
Alternative Clinical Trial Designs
Trial design options (e.g., Bayesian basket trial design for rare orphan indications) that de-risk programs and open earlier value-inflection points.
Commercial Strategy & Due Diligence
Market-opportunity identification, addressable-market sizing, differentiation, forecasting, go/no-go due diligence, and revenue modeling.
Creative Funding for Exploratory Studies
Non-traditional and non-dilutive funding strategies scoped specifically to exploratory and label-expansion studies.

-
Life Sciences Consulting
A clinical-stage oncology company — managed development strategy and medical writing that carried a first-in-class biologic for a rare pediatric leukemia to FDA IND acceptance, Fast Track Designation two months later, and first-in-human Phase I trials.
-
Product Development
Managed multi-asset therapeutics portfolio — hands-on program oversight with CRO, industry, and academic partners across biologics, small molecules, DNA-based therapeutics, and radiopharmaceuticals for wide-ranging indications (cancer, autoimmune, neurological) — all at different stages of development with unique regulatory needs.
-
Asset Positioning
Led label expansion strategy that expanded the potential U.S. addressable market of a $200M/year asset into the multi-billions by identifying significantly larger disease populations and then demonstrating promising therapeutic efficacy in relevant nonclinical models.
A clear path from first call to finished work.
No off-the-shelf packages. Every engagement starts with understanding the problem, then a proposal scoped to it.
Conversation
A direct conversation to understand your program, stage, constraints, and where the pressure really is.
Scoped proposal
A written proposal — deliverables, timeline, and pricing — tailored to exactly what your situation needs.
Engagement
Milestone-driven execution with clear checkpoints, held to the same standard as the programs behind that track record.
Pricing can be project-based, monthly retainer, hourly, or ongoing fractional support — tailored to the scopes, timelines, and deliverables for each client's unique needs.
Built to bear the hardest problems in science.
In Greek mythology, Atlas is the Titan who holds up the heavens — a weight carried without faltering. Dr. Hamilton earned the name through his experience taking on mission-critical problems and engineering a path forward regardless of scope or complexity.
He is a molecular biologist, biomedical engineer, and versatile drug developer with more than fourteen years of R&D experience across academia and industry. He earned his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Baylor College of Medicine, training under National Medal of Science laureate Dr. Bert O'Malley, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
Before founding Hamilton Atlas Group, he co-founded a clinical-stage therapeutics company and advanced a first-in-class biologic into first-in-human testing.
On that program, he expanded the asset's U.S. market potential from $200M annually to the multi-billions — one chapter in a career that has secured over $25M in competitive non-dilutive funding and in-kind support.
What clients ask before they call.
Who do you work with?
Three kinds of clients: biotech startups and drug developers (from discovery through early clinical development) on the consulting side; teams that need hands-on product development leadership working directly with their CROs and partners; and asset holders seeking value-creation, label expansion, and market positioning strategies for biotech programs.
Who actually does the work?
Dr. Hamilton, directly, by highly leveraging his unique wide-ranging expertise and engineered technology platforms. Hamilton Atlas Group is deliberately built around one senior practitioner rather than a bench of junior staff. Where a program needs more hands — CROs, specialist consultants, counsel — that gets coordinated openly and named in the proposal.
How does pricing work?
There are no packages or rate cards. Every engagement begins with a conversation, and pricing is set in a written proposal scoped to your specific needs — project-based, monthly retainer, hourly, or ongoing fractional support.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, routinely. Confidentiality is standard practice in drug development — Dr. Hamilton is comfortable executing your CDA, or providing one, before any substantive discussion.
What does a typical engagement look like?
Whatever the problem actually requires — a two-week diligence sprint, a grant cycle, an IND-enabling program, or ongoing program leadership. Scope, timeline, and deliverables are defined in the proposal before work begins.
Can you work alongside our existing team or consultants?
Yes. Most engagements plug into existing teams — scientists, consultants, CROs, and key stakeholders (e.g., investors & C-suite). Dr. Hamilton has spent his career coordinating exactly those cross-functional groups.
Where are you based?
Houston, Texas — with engagements nationwide. Most consulting work runs remotely with scheduled calls; on-site time can be scoped when it matters.
What happens after I submit the contact form?
It goes straight to Dr. Hamilton's inbox — no intake bots, no sales queue. You'll have a personal reply within two business days, usually with a proposed time to talk. Prefer to skip the form? You can book a 30-minute call directly from the contact section.
